How DALL·E Sees Time Square on Mars

While having fun with DALL·E, I decided to try some crazy ideas. One of the things I tried was to see if it could combine two worlds. I asked it to create Time Square on Mars. Although the results were interesting indeed, but what really stood out was the unsolicited text that was appearing.

Here are a few examples...

This was interesting, we have a Time Square with roads replaced with red dirt & soil. Each picture though has very marketing oriented labels, which are MARRSS, MARGUS & MARMS.

I noticed all these pictures were very zoomed-in, it might as well be Time Square with red lights. I then trying insisting that it should be "planet" Mars with the following prompt...

This time a notion of a horizon is visible, but the pictures still look similar along with the text labels. This time we get MARIS, MARAMIS & MACS MARIS.

Still the feel is very Soviet dystopia!

I then decided to try the following prompt...

Much better, the images now look like they came out of a science fiction movie. The bold labels are gone! It's also cool that even though I asked pictures of walking, it knows to put them in a space suit!

I especially love the first one with the horizon, flying ship and a moon even though Mars doesn't have one.

Nonetheless, this was a lot of fun! I strongly recommend trying DALL·E out.
